A power failure shutdown our servers from after 2am EAST till after 7am.

Well our Gateway server suffered a hard disk fault sometime this morning, which took out our website and phone services. I haven't analysed the logs, but it might have been a reboot following a power failure which triggered a hard disk scan which ... stopped the boot process. It's partially working and a replacement drive will be installed next weekend. Website and phones will be down for a short time then.

I've just completed a major merge of the rivet-base development branch into the stable branch, the one that this website is based upon. This should fix some errors in the SQLITE backend that have been occasionally preventing pages from loading. It also introduces the new file Ticket system. This is the first merge into stable since 4th January, and the completion of a long line of work on the Ticket system that began back on 29th March.

We just discovered a DNS configuration issue with the svptechnicalservices.com.au domain name this afternoon. Email has been down for a day or two. DNS has been fixed as of 6PM and email should return to normal within the next 24 hours. Other domains like www... and ftp... are operating normally.
